MCINTOSH ATLANTIC CULINARY ACADEMY EXECUTIVE CHEF TO JUDGE BOURBON COOKING AND PAIRING COMPETITION

(Dover, NH; October 1, 2007) Jim Gallivan, Executive Chef and Dean of Education and award winning chef from McIntosh Atlantic Culinary Academy (MACA) will be among the distinguished judging panel overseeing the Maker’s Mark Cooking and Pairing Competition. The series of competitions will seek to select New Hampshire’s greatest chef and mixologist team.

The three-day event will take place at several of the state’s restaurants on October 4th, 5th and 6th and will feature teams that will seek to serve up the best dish and cocktail pairing using Maker’s Mark Bourbon.

“I expect the competition to be top notch in this event and I’m excited to see the pairing of the culinary dishes with the mixology,” said Chef Gallivan. “These competitions provide the chefs with ability to be as creative as possible. I have no doubt these chefs will provide outstanding and delicious pairings. This is an event I truly will enjoy judging.”

Chef Gallivan oversees the culinary arts curriculum at MACA, an 18-month program accredited by the ACF Accrediting Commission.
