As you learn more about McIntosh, you will see that we work closely with our students from the moment they express an interest in our college, during the application and financial planning processes, and throughout their academic programs to graduation because we care about our students, and want them to succeed.
At McIntosh College, we seek students who have a passion to succeed but who may not have completed the traditional college entrance requirements like the SAT or ACT exams in high school. Students who hold a high school diploma or Graduate Equivalency Diploma (GED) are eligible for admission to McIntosh College, and because of this open admission policy, we strive to ensure that our students are academically prepared to succeed. Our work with students begins shortly after they enroll with ACCUPLACER™ assessment testing in math and English and continues throughout the student's college experience with personal and computerized tutorial services. This on-going, comprehensive support is provided by our Academic Support Center and the one-on-one attention our faculty provides to every student. We work with students of all ages: newly graduated high school students, college graduates and others who are looking for a career change and need specialized training in their selected field of study. We also welcome non-traditional students who have decided to pursue that lifelong dream of a college education.
