Massage Therapy Program Educational Objectives:
- Demonstrate competency in a variety of modalities including Western Massage, Deep Tissue, Trigger-Point, Chair Massage, Sports and Remedial Massage, Myofascial Release and some Accupressure
- Integrate massage techniques with effective client communications and proper boundary setting
- Define the eleven major systems of the human body, in addition to the craniosacral system
- Apply principles of non-Western bodywork theories and therapies
- Apply the principles of First Aid/CPR
- Know and apply the National Certification Board Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork Code of Ethics and Professional Standards
- Apply good business practices and clientele development
- Use palpation and visual clues to assess clients
